How Our Decluttering + Organizing Process Works

Feeling overwhelmed by clutter but not sure where to start? At Home Method, we take a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental approach to decluttering—tailored to your pace, lifestyle, and needs. Whether you’re neurodivergent, going through a life transition, or just stuck in decision fatigue, our process is designed to bring clarity and relief without the pressure. Here’s exactly what you can expect when you work with us.

1. In-Home Consultation

We start with a no-pressure, free in-home consultation (typically 30 minutes) to learn about your space, your goals, and what’s been getting in the way. Whether you’re neurodivergent, managing a busy household, or just feeling stuck, we meet you exactly where you are.

2. Customized Decluttering Sessions

Every session is hands-on and collaborative. We guide you through each category or area, helping you make decisions without pressure or judgement. We never push you to get rid of things. You’re always in control.

3. Thoughtful Organization

Once the clutter is cleared, we organize what’s staying using systems that make sense to you. That might mean labels, bins, zones, or nothing fancy at all, just something intuitive and easy to maintain.

4. Donations + Disposal

We can handle the hauling for you. Whether it’s coordinating a U-Haul, drop-offs to donation centers, or sorting recycling and trash, we make sure as little as possible ends up in landfill, and that the rest is out of your way quickly.

5. Follow-Up and Maintenance “Refresh” (Optional)

Need help staying on track? We offer maintenance sessions to support you long-term. Some clients book us monthly or seasonally to reset their space and keep systems working.

Our Promise

You don’t have to feel embarrassed or prepared. You don’t have to “clean up first.” And you definitely don’t have to do it alone. We’ll bring clarity, calm, and a little lightness to the process, and we’ll move at a pace that feels good to you. 🤍
